Call Me Mom

My brother-in-law, Riley, is staying with us while he completes his first semester of college.  My girls have been super excited about having him here.  When we told girls he was coming to stay, Ellawyn said, "He'll be like our big brother!"  Or your uncle. 

Yesterday, after hearing Riley address me as Destiny, Allie says, "Why does Riley call you Destiny.  That's so rude."  "That's my name." I replied  "But why doesn't he just call you mom?"  "Because I'm not his mother."  Needless to say, my girls totally think of him as another brother.  And everybody knows it's rude to call your mother by her first name.
